PGA Cars to Go Appointment-Basis Only for Both Sales and Service
On Monday, May 18, 2020, the official and exclusive importer and distributor of Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini, and Bentley in the Philippines resumes physical sales and service operations of the four premium automotive brands as COVID-19 quarantine restrictions in some parts of the Philippines are eased.
PGA Cars, Inc. marks the resumption of Porsche’s, Audi’s, Lamborghini’s and Bentley’s physical operations with a strict compliance to health and sanitation protocols as it places priority on the health and safety of its clients, guests, and workforce. The restart of physical operations is complemented by the brands’ established virtual operations, some aspects of which have been recently bolstered by digital tools in response to new market conditions.
Besides continuing to observe hygienic measures practiced in Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini, and Bentley dealerships long before the quarantine—such as regular disinfection of facilities and vehicles, and providing hand sanitizers to all personnel—some of the steps to be taken during the restart are that servicing of vehicles will be done by appointment only, and that all vehicles accepted will be immediately disinfected upon arrival, as well as prior to releasing.
Also, all guests and employees entering the brands’ premises must first wear a mask, undergo a thermal check, remove their outer clothing, submit a health form, wash their hands, and go through a foot bath. Social distancing will be practiced as well, with the guidelines announced in signage around the facilities.
Clients who wish to visit the brands’ showrooms will have to book an appointment.
The re-opening of PGA Cars’ physical facilities for Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini and Bentley follows the four brands’ resumption of manufacturing operations in their home markets.
Upon the restart of PGA Cars’ brands’ physical operations, clients can check out the latest models from Porsche, Audi, Lamborghini, and Bentley. These models are properly documented and covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, as well as supported by world-class aftersales services with work performed by factory-trained and -certified technicians who have access to the latest equipment and necessary software updates.

Lamborghini to Re-Start Production on May 4, Launch New Car on May 7
After weeks of establishing safety protocols, Automobili Lamborghini is set to resume producing super sports cars and SUVs at its Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy factory on May 4. Immediately following the restart is an online introduction of a new model.
“We continue to nurture the dreams of our fans and customers, and on May 7, through a virtual launch, we will present a new car in order to complete our model range,” said Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stefano Domenicali.
The resumption of Lamborghini’s auto manufacturing operations comes as a result of the Italian government easing lockdown restrictions in the country.
Lamborghini on March 13 suspended manufacturing and other company activities as Italy implemented measures to contain COVID-19. During the weeks it was not producing cars, Lamborghini repurposed some of its departments to make medical protection masks and visors for St. Orsola Hospital in Bologna, and established a partnership with SIARE Engineering International Group for co-engineering and manufacturing breathing simulators.
The preparation for the company’s May 4 reopening involved discussions between Lamborghini officials and trade unions as they formulate measures governing the procedures for returning to work and the equipment to be used in order to ensure the maximum safety of Lamborghini’s workforce. Established safety protocols begin with a comprehensive educational campaign.
“We are ready to restart with great energy, but also with strict protocols for safeguarding what is most precious to us—the safety of our people. This priority is why we were the first Italian automotive company to close, and it continues to be our guiding principle for a well-reasoned and safe recovery because we still have not won the battle against COVID-19,” Domenicali said.
He noted Lamborghini will constantly monitor the pandemic’s situation in the country and will adjust its protocols according to guidelines which the Italian government and that of the Emilia-Romagna region may set.
“We closed the first quarter of 2020 despite the situation with very positive results. From these results we want to secure our swift return to a leadership position, delivering our vehicles once again as soon as our dealers around the world reopen for business,” Domenicali said.

Ferrari, Lamborghini Start Producing Medical Equipment in Fight Against COVID-19
Lamborghini and Ferrari, two rival Italian supercar brands have switched their efforts to produce life-saving respirators and ventilators as part of its efforts against COVID-19.
Ferrari has started to produce respirator valves and fittings for protective masks at its Maranello plant using thermoplastic components. These valves are made to fit diving or snorkel masks either to assist patients suffering from respiratory failure or help protect healthcare workers against any risk of infection.
Meanwhile, Lamborghini has been using its 3D printing laboratory to design and produce ventilators to the tune of 18 units per day. These ventilators are produced side-by-side with face shields at the Sant’Agata manufacturing plant using HP multi-jet fusion printers.
In the next few days, Ferrari plans to manufacture several hundred items, while Lamborghini’s efforts are on top of their surgical mask production where their interior artisans have been churning out 1,000 face masks a day.
