Caltex fuels, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), continues its  support and appreciation to our front liners thru donations and fuel discounts  during this  ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

Until May 15, 2020, medical front liners, uniformed personnel, local government unit (LGU) frontliners, and delivery partners are entitled to P 4.00 and P 2.00 per liter discount from their purchase of gasoline and diesel, respectively.

Caltex has also donated P 250,000 to the One Voice Pilipinas fund drive of its superstore partner, Landers. Under the program, every P 1,000 donation will secure a week’s worth of food to a family in need.

Caltex employees also pooled their resources together and gave P 170,000 to the Kaya Natin! foundation. Kaya Natin! aids its volunteers in ferrying hospital workers from various pick up and drop off points in Metro Manila.  This was in addition to the earlier donation made by the Caltex Makati Credit Cooperative to the foundation.

Two of Caltex’ branded marketers have also reached out to the front liners with their respective donation drives. Northern Star Energy Corp. handed over Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that include N95 face masks, surgical masks and hazmat suits to the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center and the Ospital ng Santa Cruz in Zambales. They also extended help in 43 barangays in Ilocos Sur spearheaded by the retailer of Caltex Candon 3, by distributing live chickens and fresh milkfish to the residents.

William Tan Enterprise, Inc., on the other hand, donated 30 containers of 70 percent disinfectant ethyl alcohol to the front liners in Palawan which include various medical institutions, LGU, and uniformed personnel.

Chevron companies also made an earlier donation of almost P1 million to Philippine General Hospital Medical Foundation Inc., JAC Liner, Kaya Natin! Foundation, and Grab Philippines in support of the COVID-19 frontliners.

About 91 percent of Caltex stations remain operational amidst the ECQ implemented in certain areas nationwide. These stations adhere to the 1-meter physical distancing rule, and implement regular temperature checks and frequent cleaning of areas with high human touch points on top of the usual hygiene practices and standards.

Caltex Opens 30 Service Stations in 2019, Heads into 2020 Even Stronger

Caltex, the retail brand of Chevron, closes 2019 with a series of milestones including the opening of 30 new service stations in 2019, allowing them reach more customers nationwide. This feat is on top of setting a new Guinness World Record and the inking of new partnerships as well.

The growing number of their retail sites is a testament of Caltex’s determination to reach out to every community in the country by providing fuels that power every drive to a joyful ride. Caltex aims to open more stations this year to provide quality and reasonably priced fuels and help millions of Filipino motorists set personal records on their journeys.

Aside from the continued growth of its retail network, 2019 saw Caltex forge strategic team-ups with leading companies such as LICA Auto Group, AC Motors, and Lalamove to bring clean, safe and quality fuels to more customers. The team-ups allow the customers, employees, and contractors of these partners to earn big fuel savings through their Caltex SavePlus card.

Caltex has always proven how their fuels take every ride to the next level. Last July 2019, the same Caltex with Techron that Filipino motorists use in their everyday journey is the same fuel that recently powered a 28-year old car to set an official Guinness Book world-record of fastest 1,000 meter ascent up Thailand’s Doi Chang Mountain, in under 7 minutes.

Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), marketer of Caltex, was also able to comply with the government’s initiative to deter oil smuggling in the country. CPI is the first of the “Big Three” to join the fuel marking program.

In 2019, Caltex became the only fuel brand to extend rewards offering to utilities, telecoms, and tollroads, in addition to food and groceries, for loyal motorists by partnering with the MVP Group for the Caltex-MVP Rewards Loyalty Program.

Aside from service stations, the Caltex Havoline autoPro Workshop Program’s expansion shows no signs of stopping. Since the opening of its first site in Davao City last May 2019, it has established its presence in other parts of the country and more shops will open in 2020. Caltex Havoline autoPro Workshop is tailored for quick-lube and automotive service business owners who want to partner with a global brand to gain credibility as a preferred operator.

Caltex enters 2020 more determined to provide world class quality products that will meet motorists’ fuel needs.

Caltex "Marks" Its Fuels to Curb Smuggling, Ensure Consistent Quality

Chevron Philippines, Inc., marketer of the Caltex brand of fuels just walked the talk by being the first of the Top 3 fuel brands to mark its fuel upon arrival at its import terminal in San Pascual, Batangas.

While other fuel brands complain about fuel smuggling, but decide to do nothing about it, Caltex decided to actually do something about fuel smuggling by “marking” its fuel. This is done by placing a molecular marker in its fuels, a compliance with the Philippine government’s requirements.

The fuel marking activity was witnessed by officials from the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and representatives from the fuel marker consortium, SICPA SA –SGS Philippines, and Chevron Philippines.

“Chevron Philippines supports the government’s initiative to curb fuel smuggling through this fuel marking program. We hope that this program will level the playing field among the industry participants and ensure that all oil companies pay the correct taxes and help build the nation,” CPI Country Chairman Louie Zhang said.

Following the recent completion of the implementing rules and regulations for the FMP, gasoline, diesel and kerosene shall be tested for compliance with the prescribed dilution level, whether at the refinery, terminal, or retail sites.
